Elizabeth den Hartog teaches medieval art and architecture (and medievalism) in the art history department of LUCAS. Her main interest is the function and meaning of sculpture within the architectural context, especially in the Low Countries, and the relationship between architecture, sculpture and liturgy. She is also very interested in medieval iconography. Another focus is on all aspects of castles and castle building in a worldwide context. And, of course, she is a great fan of Game of Thrones.
